Preparedness Classes

Kirkland Emergency Management offers a wide variety of emergency preparedness and public education classes. These classes are designed to help people be ready to face all kinds of disasters.

Pet Prep

Join Animal Control Officer Matison to learn about how to get your loved ones ready for disasters, even if they have fur or scales or feathers!

Everyone can help keep their community safe from threats of terrorism by being aware of suspicious activities and reporting them to the proper authorities.

Map Your Neighborhood Facilitator Training

This facilitator training teaches you how to organize with your neighborrs and develop an emergency plan to respond and help each other in case of a disaster. Learn more about Map Your Neighborhood.

Community Emergency Response Team

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training teaches residents to be prepared to respond to large disasters. Learn how to take care of yourself and the people around you during an emergency through a combination of classroom and hands on training.

Spring CERT

Class Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 21 - May 12, 6 - 9 p.m.

Disaster Drill: Saturday, May 16, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Graduation Celebration: Tuesday, May 19, 7:00 p.m.
