Park Board Vacancy

The City of Kirkland is seeking adult volunteer applicants to apply for two seats with terms ending March 31, 2018 on the Park Board. One of the positions is currently filled by an incumbent who intends to apply for reappointment.  The appointments are for four-year terms ending March 31, 2022. Council may also select an alternate appointee in case any additional vacancies were to occur within the immediate six months following the selection and appointment process. The appointments are made by the City Council. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Kirkland.

The Park Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. It advises the City Council on matters relating to parks, recreation, and community services.

The City Council has adopted a Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics which all Board and Commission members are asked to sign.
