Park Board Adult Vacancy

The Park Board is seeking adult volunteer applicants to apply for one seat with terms beginning April 1, 2019 and ending March 31, 2023. The position is filled by an incumbent who does intend to apply for reappointment. The appointment will be made by the Council and they may also select an alternate appointee in case any additional vacancies were to occur within the immediate six months following the selection and appointment process. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Kirkland.

The Park Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. It advises the City Council on matters relating to parks, recreation, and community services.

The City Council has adopted a Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics which all Board and Commission members are asked to sign.
   
Park Board applications must be submitted to the City Clerk, Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Ave., Kirkland WA 98033 or kanderson@kirklandwa.gov prior to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019.

Interviews are scheduled for the evening of Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Kirkland City Hall. If you are selected for an interview, you must be available on this evening; interview times will begin at 5:30 p.m.
