The City of Kirkland is seeking two adult volunteers to fill vacancies on the Library Board. The appointments are for four-year terms beginning April 1, 2019 and ending March 31, 2023. One position is currently filled by an incumbent who does intend to apply for reappointment. The appointments will be made by the City Council. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city of Kirkland.
The Kirkland Library Board was established in 1951. The purpose of the board is to serve as an advisory body to the Kirkland City Council and the Kirkland City Manager and serves as liaison to the King County rural library district and its designated librarian regarding library service issues and community interest. The Board meets on the second Wednesday of every other month at 6:00 p.m.

Interviews are scheduled for the evening of Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Kirkland City Hall. If you are selected for an interview, you must be available on this evening; interview times will begin at 5:30 p.m.
