The City of Kirkland is seeking a volunteer to serve as a special member of the King County Landmarks Commission. The King County Landmarks Commission is composed of nine members. The Kirkland special member to the commission serves as a tenth member when the commission acts on behalf of Kirkland for all business conducted within the city. This vacancy is open until filled.

The Kirkland Senior Council (KSC) is a group of concerned citizens who are dedicated to ensuring that Kirkland is, and remains a safe, vibrant community for residents age 50+. As an advisory group to the City Council, they advocate, support, shape and create programs and services that meet the needs of adults age 50+ in the community. There are five seats on the council with terms starting April 1, 2019.
