I-405 - NE 132nd Street Interchange Project Meeting

116th Avenue Northeast will be closed to vehicles for up to two months starting March 6; New construction phase beginning this spring. Join our online project update meeting on Feb. 22 to learn more.

As part of ongoing construction activities, we will shift traffic lanes and sidewalks along Northeast 132nd Street, 116th Avenue Northeast, and Totem Lake Boulevard Northeast. This shift will take place this spring and will allow crews to safely establish new work zones and move into the next phase of construction. A detailed summary of traffic lane and sidewalk shifts is located on the project webpage under “What to expect.”

Crews will also close 116th Avenue Northeast to vehicular traffic between Northeast 132nd Street and 115th Avenue Northeast starting March 6. The closure is expected to last up to two months, during which crews will work to build the foundation of the new northbound on-ramp to I-405. Closing the road is the safest option for both work crews and the public, and will allow us to finish this phase of the project more efficiently. A signed detour will be in place during the closure.
