Viva Volunteers! Fair on October 14

KIRKLAND, Wash. – The 5th annual ”Viva Volunteers! Fair” will connect people interested in volunteering with representatives of organizations seeking volunteers. The fair will take place on Saturday, October 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Peter Kirk Community Center, 352 Kirkland Avenue.  

Volunteer-supported organizations are looking for people of all ages, talents and experiences to do rewarding work in a variety of programs, such as those that support people in need of help, advocate for animals, organize community events and protect the environment. The fair will give people a chance to browse among a variety of possible volunteering opportunities to pick one that fits their interests and abilities. 

Admission and parking are free, and snacks are available at no cost. Public parking options can be found at Frequent drawings will award door prizes donated by local businesses.

Viva Volunteers! is organized and staffed by the Kirkland Senior Council (KSC) with support from the City of Kirkland and Evergreen Health. The KSC acts in an advisory capacity to the Kirkland City Council on matters affecting citizens age 50 and older and promotes community efforts to maintain and improve the well-being of older adults.
