Property information just got easier to view on the City of Kirkland website. Customers can now use the new Property Search tool, found on the City’s Development Services Center homepage
, to look up property information and generate a property report directly from a desktop, tablet or mobile device. The link to the Property Search tool is also available in each permitting process listed under the website section “Apply for a Permit
“This new tool gives customers a better way to understand their complete property information,” said Rob Jammerman, Development Engineering Manager for the City of Kirkland. “The teams from Planning and Building, Public Works, GIS Mapping and Information Technology worked together to compile information in one place to give customers a comprehensive look at their property including State and County records.”
Once an address or parcel number is entered into the Property Search tool customers have the option of either searching for the location on a map or downloading the property report.
When the map view is chosen, a new window opens and zooms into the property location. The customer can view property information such as permit history, King County Assessor’s information, zoning information, and more.
When the Property Report option is chosen, a Property Information Report is created in a PDF format. The report contains property information such as King County Assessor’s parcel number, zoning information, utility providers, critical or sensitive areas, and more. The customer can save the report to a computer or print it out on a printer.
“One of our City Council’s goals is to provide great customer service,” said Mayor Amy Walen. “The way we do that is to have all the departments work closely together to understand our customer’s needs and then work as a team to deliver services in the most efficient way we can. This new Property Search tool is a great example of how that kind of collaboration can work and make life a little easier for the residents we serve.”
