Contact: Kathy Cummings, City Manager’s Office
Phone: 425-587-3021

WHAT: Workshop on Living with Wildlife in Urban Settings

WHEN: 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 29

WHERE: Kirkland City Hall, Council Chambers
123 Fifth Avenue

WHO: City of Kirkland in conjunction with Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife and United States Department of Agriculture-Wildlife Services

WHY: With the arrival of summer and its longer days, encounters between people and wildlife will naturally increase, as people are outdoors more. Residents are invited to attend and participate in an educational workshop focused on coexistence and simple actions people can take to reduce conflict and live peacefully with urban wildlife such as coyotes, cougars, deer, raccoons and black bear.

For more information about the workshop, contact Lorrie McKay, Intergovernmental Relation Manager, City of Kirkland, at 425-587-3009 or
