KIRKLAND, Wash. – Lake Washington Boulevard, south of Northeast 38th Place, re-opened to traffic at 5:15 p.m. last night, August 29, 2016. Please use caution while driving through the construction area. Although the road is open, flagging operations and lane closures will continue through September 23.
The total closure of Lake Washington Boulevard was necessary to accommodate the installation of a new 15-foot-wide by 7-foot-tall fish-passable box culvert in Cochran Springs Creek. Work on the project will continue and one lane in each direction will remain open. Both car and bike traffic will be possible during the lane closures and at least one sidewalk will be available.
