Traffic Alert: Lake WA Half Marathon, Nov. 5

KIRKLAND, Wash. – Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Lake Washington Half Marathon andHalf Marathon Map 5K run to be held at Juanita Beach Park on Saturday, November 5, 2016. A course map is posted online at The beach parking lot and eastbound NE Juanita Drive from 93rd Avenue NE to 98th Avenue NE will be closed with detour in place from 7 a.m. until approximately noon. Southbound lanes of 98th Avenue NE from NE Juanita Drive to Forbes Creek Drive will close temporarily at 7:30 a.m. for approximately 10 minutes during start of race. Additional course impacts will include traffic delays from approximately 7:30 a.m. until noon.
Event organizers expect 1,000 athletes will participate in the event which benefits Cascade Leadership Challenge. The non-profit organization is dedicated to providing leadership and outdoor adventure opportunities for young adults ages 14-25.
