KIRKLAND, Wash. (September) – On Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Peter Kirk Community Center, local non-profit agencies and the City of Kirkland will be looking for volunteers to assist their organizations or to help at special events.

Each year, people of all ages flock to the Viva Volunteers! Fair, sponsored by the City of Kirkland Senior Council, The City of Kirkland, and EvergreenHealth, to learn about  opportunities to make a difference in their community, such as:
 •           High School students searching for volunteer opportunities to fulfill service learning hours, enhance college job applications, or to simply give back to the community.
 •           Recently retired seniors looking for an opportunity to make a difference and keep themselves busy helping others.
 •           Empty nesters and young parents looking for a worthwhile activity to fill the time now that their children are in school full-time or off to college.

The event is free, and there will be complimentary snacks, drinks and door prizes. For more information, please call 425-587-3323.
