KIRKLAND, Wash. – The City needs your input on the 2019 Summer Sundays on Park Lane pilot project.

The Summer Sundays on Park Lane pilot project was a collaboration between the City of Kirkland, community members, and neighborhood associations to provide a community gathering place while enhancing the volume of shopping and other business activities on Park Lane. Opening Park Lane to people walking, biking, or with mobility devices was inspired by residents hoping to create an atmosphere where community members could gather, shop, stroll, and dine in a casual car-free environment. The pilot ran from June 2 to September 22, 2019.

“An important aspect of any pilot project is evaluating the results,” said Intergovernmental Relations and Economic Development Manager Lorrie McKay. “We hope that community members, business owners, and visitors will provide us feedback so that we can make an informed recommendation to Council on how best to proceed.”

Feedback can be provided via a short survey at https://www.research.net/r/parklane-sundays. The survey will remain open through January 31. The City Council will be discussing next steps for this pilot project at a future meeting.
