Volunteer for MLK Service at Juanita Beach Park

Join Green Kirkland and City of Kirkland Parks Maintenance Division for a fun day of planting native trees and shrubs at Juanita Beach Park in honor of MLK JR. Week of Service.  

No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us! This event will be led by Green Kirkland Steward Jodie and Parks Staff

NOTE this event is on FRIDAY Jan 18th (not Monday).

What to Bring:
* Closed Toed Shoes Required  (ex: tennis shoes, sneakers or boots but no sandals) 
* Recommended: Clothes that can get dirty * Raingear * Warm Layers * Long Pants/Long Sleeves  
* Full water bottle & Snacks 
* Tools, training and gloves are provided 
* Portable Bathroom onsite but no running water 

Where to Park 
Park in the main parking lot near the children's play area near the western end of the lot (near the stream).

Meeting Point 
We meet near the foot bridge at the west end of the parking lot--look for the Green Kirkland Partnership signs.

Youth Volunteering 
Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
