Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of Juanita Bay Park East.
Volunteers will spend the morning participating in restoration activities which may include removing non-native invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry and spreading mulch over cleared areas. No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us! This event is lead by a Green Kirkland Park Steward and please note this event does NOT meet at the main parking lot (see directions below).
Register to volunteer on the volunteer event registration page.
What to Bring:
Please dress for the weather (layers are encouraged and rain gear is a must many times of the year), wear close-toed shoes and long-sleeved clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. Tools, gloves and training will be provided.
This event meets in the eastern part of Juanita Bay Park NOT AT THE MAIN PARKING LOT.
