Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of Cotton Hill Park Park. Volunteers will spend the morning doing a mix of restoration activities which may include removing non-native invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers. This event is led by a volunteer Green Kirkland Steward.
This event meets most Wednesdays April - June 2020.
Note age and experience restriction for this event:
Due to site conditions, this event is not suitable for unaccompanied volunteers younger than 18 years old or groups greater than 10 volunteers. Those under age 18 are welcome to attend with an adult. This site is most appropriate for those with some Green Kirkland experience and the ability to work with minimal direction or supervision following the initial orientation.
Green Kirkland does have many other events open to those under 18 and with no experience needed - please visit the event calendar for other options.
In light of the recommendations from Public Health Seattle & King County, the City of Kirkland Parks Department has decided to cancel most recreation programs and volunteer events through April 26 including Green Kirkland volunteer events. We are planning to resume events on April 27 subject to guidance from Public Health and the City of Kirkland.

This event will meet at the wooden sign by the park entrance.
