kids in costumes Trade your old costumes for ones that are new-to-you! Donate costumes, masks, and accessories at Kirkland City Hall or North Kirkland Community Center the week of September 24-28. Then, complete the swap by selecting a donated costume at City Hall on Saturday September 29!

The event is fun and easy – it’s not an exchange program where you must bring in a costume to get one, but residents are encouraged to donate if you’d like to take a costume too. Give what you can, and take what you need.

  • Donate Costumes
    September 24-28
    8am - 5pm

OR North Kirkland Community Center (lobby)
    12421 103rd Avenue NE

Costumes of all sizes - from infant to adult - will be accepted. Items should be clean and in good, wearable condition (e.g. no broken zippers, not mildewed, torn only if intentional). Accessories accepted as well.

  • Swap Costumes
    September 29
    10am - 11:30am

Sound like fun? Volunteers are needed from 9am-11am to help set up and organize costumes. Contact recycle@kirklandwa.gov if you're interested!

Last year over 75 people came to the event and took home new-to-them costumes. Find an off-the-rack costume, or create your own unique outfit by combining accessories with other costume pieces. Prevent waste and save money by participating in the City of Kirkland’s third Costume Swap!
