WHAT: Kirkland’s job-order contractor will be installing medians, re-striping bicycle lanes and rebuilding a pair of sidewalk curb ramps in November along Bridle Trails’ 122nd Avenue Northeast.
The traffic calming project is a collaborative effort between the City of Kirkland and the South Rose Hill and Bridle Trails Neighborhood Association to reduce vehicular speeds along the street.
WHEN: The City of Kirkland expects its job order contractor to begin construction in late October or early November and to finish by the end of the year. The contractor will work eight hours a day, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Inclement weather could force the contractor to suspend until spring some aspects of the project, including pavement striping.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Drivers should expect minor traffic delays along 122nd Avenue Northeast
- The contractor is planning to close Kirkland Way between Railroad and Ohde avenues, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. XX - XX.
