Coronavirus (CV) -3 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) - Grant Application
The federal CDBG program supports the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment via community facilities and public infrastructure, and expanded economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate-income.The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act passed by Congress and signed into law on March 27, 2020, included billions of supplemental CDBG supplemental funding to be distributed in response to the pandemic.
The City of Kirkland is offering two grant opportunities to Human Service agencies to provide services; one to provide $246,945 to support behavioral health work retention via wage premiums, hazard pay, and bonuses for staff of behavioral health agencies currently funded by Kirkland for the 2021-2022 human services grant cycle and one to provide $80,000 to support case management for housing stability and mental health support to Spanish- and Portuguese- speaking community members.
