The Green Kirkland Partnership works to engage the local community in the restoration and care of natural areas in City parks.

Volunteer with Us!

Welcome Back!

Welcome back volunteers! Green Kirkland volunteer stewardship events led by volunteer Stewards and Staff are re-starting in 2021.

Opportunities to volunteer will be posted on our calendar as they become available. All public events require pre-registration and face coverings.

To keep us all safe you can expect some changes including:
  • Shorter event sessions with small group sizes
  • Pre-registration is required with no option for drop-ins
  • Face coverings are required for the duration of the event
  • Other steps for maintaining safe distance and sanitation
Visit our What to Expect page for an overview of these new procedures.

Your Forests Need YOU: Become a Green Kirkland Steward!

Share your love of natural spaces and your park with the world by becoming a Green Kirkland Steward.

Stewards are dedicated volunteers who share their joy by leading volunteers in restoration projects in their local parks. Stewards bring a diversity of interests, skill, and time to our parks - we encourage all that are interested to attend orientation.

Stewards receive training, resources such as plants and tools, and access to restoration professionals to help you succeed.
