COVID-19 Update: The Kirkland Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is currently working on ways to deliver preparedness classes in compliance with social distancing guidelines from Public Health - Seattle & King County.

OEM offers a wide variety of emergency preparedness and public education classes. These classes are designed to help people be ready to face all kinds of disasters.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training teaches residents to be prepared to respond to large disasters. Learn how to take care of yourself and the people around you during an emergency through a combination of classroom and hands on training.
Interested in ham radio but still need to get your license? Find local upcoming licensing classes through the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) website.
