King County Landmarks Commission - Kirkland Representative Vacancy

The City of Kirkland is seeking an applicant to fill a vacancy on the King County Landmarks Commission as the Kirkland representative. This seat is for a three-year term ending 3/31/2025 and will be appointed by the City Council.

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Must reside in Kirkland
  • Have a demonstrated interest in historic preservation
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.


About
The role of the Landmarks Commission is to strive to foster civic pride in the beauty and accomplishments of the past, stabilize and improve economic value and vitality of landmarks by providing incentives for preservation and rehabilitation, and promote heritage-related tourism.

The King County Landmarks Commission meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 4:30 PM virtually through Zoom.

Application and Interview Process
Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk, Kathi Anderson, via email at kanderson@kirklandwa.gov or may be mailed to Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Ave., Kirkland WA 98033 and must be received prior to 4:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2022.
