Boards and Commissions

An important part of the City government's policy-making process is its various boards and commissions, which advise the City Council on vital public policy matters. Recruitments generally start in February or as needed. The Council will seek to make appointments of qualified candidates who reflect the diversity of Kirkland, including with respect to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability, background and perspective and differing residential status (home owner, renter or house-less). All board and commissions hold regular public meetings and are non-salaried. Further information regarding appointments to city boards and commissions may be obtained from Kathi Anderson, City Clerk at 425-587-3197
