Moorage and Boat Launch Access Information
Welcome to Kirkland Marina along the shores of Lake Washington.
Marina Park, located at 25 Lakeshore Plaza, is one of the City's waterfront landmark parks. The Park has a boat launch, moorage facilities and restroom. Adjacent to Marina Park, is the Second Avenue South Dock or "South Dock" located at 2nd Avenue South and Lake Washington Boulevard with additional moorage space. Marina Park Dock and South Dock: Moorage
The Kirkland Marina Park Dock and South Dock offer a combined 90 uncovered moorage slips year round.
General Rules
- Transient moorage is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. (Reservations are not accepted) PLEASE NOTE: Payment does not guarantee a moorage spot will remain available. Valid payment slips will be honored in any other authorized spot.
- Between the hours of 8am and 9pm, boaters are allowed up to 3 hours free moorage*
- Moorage fees are required upon arrival after 9 p.m. or in slip providing shore power.
- Moorage payment can be accepted at the pay stations which accept bills and debit/credit cards.

- Any boat that stays past midnight is considered "overnight."
- Moorage fees are due upon arrival before using shore power. Shore power is available at a limited number of slips and is additional cost to moorage fees.
- During June, July and August, boaters may purchase moorage for up to five (5) consecutive days.
- Boat trailer parking is available at Heritage Park until 11:00 PM and Kirkland City Hall (weekends only). See the Boater's Guide

- Leaving detached parking boat trailers on City streets or in parks is illegal (except where noted)
Day Moorage
- Free moorage is available up to three (3) hours between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
- Any boat staying beyond three (3) hours require a Day Pass.
- Any boat staying beyond 9 p.m. requires a day pass or an overnight pass if moored after midnight.
Overnight Moorage
- Overnight moorage is valid from the time of purchase until 1 p.m. on the date of expiration.

- A Boat Launch Access Card is required for use of the Marina Park Boat Ramp from April 1 through October 31. Use of the ramp is free from November 1 through March 31.
- Ramp hours are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Only boats less than 24 feet can use the ramp.
- First-time boat launch users may purchase an Access Card at the Parks & Community Services Department Administration Offices located at 505 Market Street. Offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Proof of residency required for reduced resident rate.
- Access Card Renewals may be obtained by calling the Parks
Administration Offices at 425-587-3330, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Boat Launch Access Cards may also be purchased from the City's Harbormasters.
- Special events may prompt the closure of the ramp.

City Harbormasters
- Harbormasters are on duty at the Marina and Second Docks from Memorial Day (May) to Labor Day (September).
- Harbormasters are on duty seven (7) days a week from 1 p.m. to 10 .m. (Hours may vary with weather).
- Harbormasters assist boaters with information about Kirkland, purchasing moorage and boat launch access cards, and docking rules and regulations.
