kids plantingJoin the Green Kirkland Partnership, EarthCorps, and the Kirkland Parks Foundation to help restore the forest along Denny Creek in O.O. Denny Park.  Volunteers will help remove non-native invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, spread mulch, and plant native trees, shrubs, and ground covers.  No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

Register to Volunteer on the EarthCorps website.

What to Bring Please dress for the weather--layers are encouraged and rain gear is a must most times of year--and wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and something to munch on. We'll provide the coffee, tools and training.

Where to meet: Volunteers will meet in the upper (east side of Holmes Pt. Dr.) parking lot--look out for the Green Kirkland and EarthCorps event signs.

Parking is available in the parking lot

Youth Volunteering Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
