The Green Kirkland Partnership is celebrating Earth Month with over 18 volunteer events in April! Big thanks to our park stewards for all their planning and enthusiasm to pull off so many events!
How did Himalayan blackberry get here?
We get asked the question "how did invasive blackberries get to Kirkland" all the time at volunteer events. Check out this great radio segment that KUOW did to answer that exact question. Listen to or read the article and then join us at an upcoming volunteer event to get up close and personal with some Himalayan blackberry (if the berries are ripe, we encourage you to eat them).
