Green Kirkland Partnership

Volunteers planting

The Green Kirkland Partnership works to engage the local community in the restoration and care of natural areas in City parks.

Forest Leaders Needed!

Kirkland's forests need YOUR help!

If you love volunteers, plants and parks, come join us to learn about becoming a Green Kirkland Steward. Our next orientation is Saturday, March 24th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McAuliffe Park.

During this hands-on training we'll cover: What is a healthy forest, how to ID native plants, restoration practices, volunteer event setup and more.

No commitment to become a Steward is required to attend, simply an interest in learning more about urban forestry and Green Kirkland.

Looking Back to 2017

Green Kirkland had a terrific year of growth in 2017 - growing plants, new partners and new Green Kirkland Stewards. Thanks to the 2,515 volunteers who contributed over 11,110 hours of service and planted over 6,300 native plants in 2017!

Thanks to you, we have enrolled 96 acres into restoration and are marching toward our goal of 480 acres. For more details on 2017, check out the Our Progress page.
