Compost

All your compostables should go in your gray cart.

Why should I compost and where does it all go?
Compost to save money. By taking the time to put compostables in your gray cart, you generate less trash. With less trash, you can opt for a smaller (and cheaper) garbage service level. Composting also helps the environment because items do not end up sitting in the landfill where they do not decompose.

All compostable items in your gray cart go to Cedar Grove composting facility where they are turned into useful compost, a nutrient-rich fertilizer that people use on their lawns and gardens.

What can I put in my gray cart?
