Report Unsightly Scrawls to the Anti-Graffiti Hotline
You don't have to live with the spray painted scribble on the light post down the street or the offensive writing on the power box you pass everyday. Report it to the Anti-Graffiti Hotline
at (425) 587-3824. The Public Works Department monitors this line weekdays during normal business hours. If you witness graffiti in the act, please call the Police Department at (425) 587-3400.

The Public Works Department’s goal is to remove graffiti on public property within 24 hours. When coordination with other agencies, such as Puget Sound Energy or King County/Metro is required, the response time will increase. If the graffiti is on private property, the City will contact the owner and encourage the owner to remove the graffiti immediately. You may also use the Hotline for reporting if it is your own property that has been vandalized with graffiti.
The best deterrent is swift removal, so residents are encouraged to contact the Hotline whenever you see unsightly graffiti around town.
When contacting the City, please try to be as specific as possible. Include on your message the exact address. If that is not available, provide the on street, the cross street, type of object that has been defaced, and whether it is offensive (racial, gang-related or profanity).
For questions regarding graffiti, you may contact Van Sheth at (425) 587-3907 or e-mail the Hotline. We appreciate your help in keeping the City of Kirkland a clean, safe place to live, work and play.
The City's policy is to remove graffiti in public areas and certain other areas visible from public rights-of-way within 24 hours of its report to the city. Citizens may call the City's Anti-Graffiti Hotline at (425) 587-3824.
