Northeast 132nd Street dual-lefts

132ND-RIGHT-TURNS-map-timelineThe City of Kirkland is creating a pair of right turn lanes on Northeast 132nd Street--one going south into Juanita High School's campus and the other going north on 108th Avenue Northeast.

WHAT: To improve traffic flow along Northeast 132nd Street at 108th Avenue Northeast and at the entrance to Juanita High School, the City of Kirkland is building a pair of right turn-lanes.
  
WHEN: Project engineers expect to begin construction in summer. To create the space for the turn-lane at Juanita High School, the City will have to construct a 20-foot-high wall that will support the street’s embankment.

TIMELINE: 
May 1: Kirkland's staff and consulting engineers complete design
Late June - November: Kirkland's prospective contractor creates turn lanes
