The Marina Boat Launch will re-open to the public on May 20 and Global Diving and Salvage's work crews should complete the in-water work by May 19.
Workers will be pouring the second round of concrete on May 15, giving the concrete five days to cure, which is standard for the mix of concrete we are using, said City of Kirkland Project Coordinator Brian Baker.
Kirkland's job order contractor has been working since February to replace the existing 12-foot-wide launch.
The replacement of Marina Park’s boat launch will include a similar, but updated version of the existing 12-foot-wide launch. Crews are working between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
