This rendering shows the concept for the bicycle and pedestrian bridge that will connect the South Kirkland Park and Ride to the Cross Kirkland Corridor.
Update (Dec. 10, 2015) --
The City of Kirkland is connecting the Cross Kirkland Corridor to the South Kirkland Park and Ride with a bicycle and pedestrian bridge that features a tower, which will house a 65-foot elevator and a five-flight staircase. The bridge's transparent design will create a variety of views, help prevent crime and reduce the need for artificial light.
Kirkland is building the bridge to enhance the Cross Kirkland Corridor's regional connections and to provide transit-riders with more choices for how they access the transit center.
