Kirkland, WA – Starting today, the Kirkland Police Department will now be accepting Online Police Reports at: www.kirklandwa.gov/onlinereporting. Online Reporting will give citizens the freedom to report certain crimes online anytime day or night when it’s convenient for them. Citizens still have the option to have an Officer respond for the call.

Reports for crimes such as car prowls, vandalism, telephone harassment, littering, lost property, and thefts (including identity theft and mail theft) can now be completed online. The online reporting program will walk you through the steps to complete your report from start to finish including how you will receive your case number from the Police Department after it is reviewed and approved by a supervisor. Tips about drug or other suspicious activity, abandoned vehicles, and traffic complaints can also be reported online using the same system.

To be reported online: the crime must have occurred within the Kirkland City limits (incidents on I-405 must be reported to Washington State Patrol), amount of loss under $750, no known suspects, and no evidence an Officer might need to collect or process.

The Kirkland Police Department asks that you keep reporting in-progress crimes and emergencies to 911! The online reporting is for non-emergencies.

For more information about online reporting, please contact Lieutenant Mike Murray, Kirkland Police Department, at 425-587-3402 or mmurray@kirklandwa.gov.
