KIRKLAND, Wash. The Kirkland Police Department (KPD) is investigating a vehicle/bicyclist collision that occurred around 8 a.m. today in the parking lot Avalon Apartments near the 5800 block of Lakeview Drive by Carillon Point. The KPD’s preliminary investigation has resulted in a description of what may be the suspect’s vehicle: a 1995-2000 model of a Subaru Outback (wagon) with a Washington license plate beginning with the letter “A.”

A witness to the collision, a construction worker at a nearby site, attempted to follow the suspect vehicle but the driver eluded him this morning. The victim suffered injuries and was transported to Harborview.
