Assignments

Kirkland Police Recruiting
The City of Kirkland is located on the east shore of Lake Washington, off Interstate 405, in King County. It offers a unique life style of suburban living with a waterfront environment within the confines of the Seattle Metropolitan area. Kirkland is a growing, innovative community. The City of Kirkland has recently approved an annexation to take effect in June of 2011. This will take Kirkland’s current population of 48,000 and increase it to approximately 81,000. Kirkland provides an excellent family atmosphere with waterfront parks,  top school district, and several community colleges and universities within easy commuting distance.
Police
 The Kirkland Police Department maintains the highest standards of law enforcement training, procedures and practices. It is a state accredited agency. There are currently 67 commissioned officers and 38 civilian support personnel. The department is now hiring to add an additional 37 officers in a phased in approach beginning in June 2010. The Department is committed to community policing. This policing style requires a police/community partnership and collaboration. | | |
