The forms listed below are needed to file an application for construction of new commercial or multi-family buildings. Note you are encouraged to include the plumbing and mechanical components together with your building permit application rather than filing separate applications for each.
The forms are meant to be easy to use; however, if you have problems please contact us at (425) 587-3600 or email us at building_services@kirklandwa.gov. We would be happy to help.
The following forms, checklists and information sheets are maintained as PDF files. To view PDF files correctly, it is recommended that you download the latest version of the free viewer from Adobe's website. You only need to do this once, then viewing PDF files will be a one-click operation. WSU Extension Energy Program has developed code compliance spread sheets for prescriptive energy code compliance (WSEC chapter 6), and a component performance code compliance (WSEC chapter 5). Both of these worksheets have a simple heating system sizing method attached. For heat pumps and air conditioners, approved engineering is required, such as Manual J available from ACCA.org
