City of Kirkland volunteers assist City staff in all departments
enhancing services to the Kirkland community, such as by restoring the natural vegetation in City parks
, supporting the City Council in legislative matters
, assisting with special events
, and providing office support.
-- All on-going opportunities require you to pass a criminal history check, to provide two references, and to complete an application, in-person interview and new volunteer orientation
-- All Police department opportunities require a lengthy background check and a minimum six-month commitment
-- Youth under age 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a volunteer agreement
