Salary Commission Vacancy

The City of Kirkland is seeking adult volunteer applicants to apply for a seat with a term ending on March 31, 2018 on the Salary Commission. The appointment is for a three-year term ending March 31, 2021.  In addition, Council may also select an alternate appointee in case any additional vacancies were to occur within the immediate six months following the selection and appointment process. Appointments are made by the City Council. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Kirkland.

The Salary Commission sets the salary of the members of the City Council. Applicants must not be an officer, official, or employee of the city, or an immediate family member.

The City Council adopted a Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics which all appointed Board and Commission members are asked to sign.   

Salary Commission applications must be submitted to the City Clerk, Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Ave., Kirkland WA 98033 or kanderson@kirklandwa.gov prior to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018. 

Interviews are scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Kirkland City Hall. If you are selected for an interview, you must be available on this evening; interview times will begin at 6:00 p.m.
