Salary Commission Vacancy

The City of Kirkland is seeking adult volunteer applicants to apply for a seat with the term ending on March 31, 2020 on the Salary Commission.  This position is currently filled by an incumbent who does intend to apply for reappointment.  Council may also select an alternate appointee in case any additional vacancies were to occur within the immediate six months following the selection and appointment process. Appointments are made by the City Council. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Kirkland.

The Salary Commission sets the salary of the members of the City Council. Applicants must not be an officer, official, or employee of the city, or an immediate family member.

The City Council adopted a Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics which all appointed Board and Commission members are asked to sign.

Interviews are scheduled for the evening of Friday, March 17, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Kirkland City Hall. If you are selected for an interview, you must be available on this evening; interview times to be determined.
