Park Board Vacancy

The City of Kirkland is seeking adult volunteer applicants to fill one vacancy on the Park Board. The appointment is for an unexpired term ending March 31, 2021. In addition Council may also select an alternate appointee in case additional vacancies were to occur within the immediate six months following the selection and appointment process. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Kirkland. Appointments are made by the City Council.

The Park Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. The role of the Park Board is to advise the City Council on matters relating to parks, recreation, and community services.

The City Council has adopted a Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics which all appointed Board and Commission members are asked to sign.
  
Park Board applications must be submitted to the City Clerk, Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Avenue, Kirkland WA  98033, or kanderson@kirklandwa.gov prior to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017.
