Library Board Vacancies
The City of Kirkland is seeking adult volunteer applicants to fill three vacancies* on the Library Board. The appointments are for four-year terms ending March 31, 2016, and are made by the City Council. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city of Kirkland.
The Kirkland Library Board was established in 1951. The purpose of this board is to serve as an advisory body to the Kirkland City Council and the Kirkland City Manager, and also serves as liaison to the King County rural library district and its designated librarian regarding library service issues and community interest. The Board meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.

In 2011 the City Council adopted a Code of Conduct which all Board and Commission members are asked to sign.
Library Board applications must be submitted to the City Clerk prior to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012.
* The incumbents for these positions have served one term and may complete an application to be considered for re-appointment.
