The City of Kirkland is seeking adult volunteer applicants to apply for a seat on the Library Board. The appointment is a four-year term ending March 31, 2021. This position is currently filled by an incumbent who does intend to apply for reappointment. Council may also select an alternate appointee in case any additional vacancies were to occur within the immediate six months following the selection and appointment process. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city of Kirkland.
The Kirkland Library Board was established in 1951. The purpose of the board is to serve as an advisory body to the Kirkland City Council and the Kirkland City Manager, and also serves as liaison to the King County rural library district and its designated librarian regarding library service issues and community interest. The Board meets on the second Wednesday of every other month at 6:00 p.m.

Interviews are scheduled for the evening of Friday, March 17, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Kirkland City Hall. If you are selected for an interview, you must be available on this evening; interview times to be determined.
