Case # 11-49597

The Kirkland Police Department has identified a person of interest in the investigation of the death of 19-year old Scarlett Paxton. Due to the confidentiality of the investigation, the identity is not being released. The person of interest is currently in custody at another jurisdiction on unrelated charges. Kirkland Detectives believe there is no threat to the community and continue their investigation. On November 30, 2011 Paxton died of injuries sustained from a sharp force neck wound as ruled by the King County Medical Examiner. Kirkland Police Detectives are still actively investigating this case and are following up on all leads.
