NOTICE: Temporary Detour on the Cross Kirkland Corridor through April 11

As part of SRM Development’s public improvements (PDF) to the Cross Kirkland Corridor (CKC), a temporary detour on the CKC is in place through Saturday, April 11, 2015.  This Temporary Detour will allow crews to build the permanent trail’s first 100-foot concrete section. That section will be 16 feet wide and will eventually run the full length of the SRM improvements. After April 11, 2015, CKC users will be able to use this section of permanent trail from Lakeview Elementary School to the south entrance of Google’s existing campus until SRM completes the remaining improvements.

View the Temporary Detour Map (PDF).  This Temporary Detour is shown in green on the map.

How to navigate the temporary detour:

From the south, you can enter at Terrace Park and follow 104th Avenue NE north and cross NE 68th Street in front of Lakeview Elementary School, then head east on NE 68th Street to 6th Street.  You can then follow 6th Street north of NE 68th Street to a pathway along the north side of the existing Google campus to re-enter the CKC.

From the north, you can follow the pathway on the north side of the existing Google campus out to 6th Street, head south to NE 68th Street and then head west on NE 68th Street. You can then cross NE 68th Street at Lakeview Elementary School and follow 104th Avenue NE to Terrace Park where you can re-enter the CKC.

Bicyclists are reminded that there are stairs at the north and south entrance to this temporary detour.

The Standard and Secondary Detours are suspended until construction of the paved trail is complete.

We are excited about SRM’s improvements and ask for your patience.  When you experience the paved trail, you’ll know that it was worth the wait and that there are more improvements yet to come.
