KIRKLAND, Wash. – The Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission seeks innovative and creative art events and programs that showcase Kirkland’s arts, culture and heritage. Artists and arts organizations with unique proposals that promote performance art, literary art and other artistic ventures, can apply for funding available through the Commission. Two $1,000 grants are available. Priority will be given to programs that expose art to new audiences.
Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on June 10, 2016. Proposed activities must occur within Kirkland city limits and take place before December 20, 2016. The Commission will consider all proposals and make determinations at its June 15, 2016 meeting, to be held at Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Avenue, Rose Hill Room, 4 to 6 p.m.
