KIRKLAND, Wash. – Multiple water tests in Lake Washington at Juanita Beach Park beach over the past two weeks by the Seattle-King County Public Health Department have demonstrated that the water is once again safe. Swimming advisory signs have been removed.
Juanita Beach Park, located at 9703 NE Juanita Drive, was closed to swimming on August 10, 2017, after testing revealed high levels of fecal coliform bacteria in the lake. Triplicate sampling conducted multiple times over the previous two weeks have indicated that the level of the bacteria had dropped significantly. Based on the latest results, county health officials have deemed water conditions safe for humans and animals.
