Kirkland, Wash – The City of Kirkland Public Works Department will be closing Holmes Point Dr. NW at the North entrance off Juanita drive NE to the bottom of the hill (see map) at 11 p.m. tonight, or earlier if necessary. This is a precautionary closure in advance of tree removal and trimming work planned by the City of Kirkland and Puget Sound Energy, which is scheduled for Oct. 24 through 28. Expected high winds and rains over the weekend could jeopardize the safety of cars traveling the road and the City wants to ensure residents are not negatively impacted.
We apologize for any inconvenience. Affected neighbors have been notified and the road will reopen as soon as the danger has passed.
Storm information will be released on the City website, www.Kirklandwa.gov as it is available. Follow the City’s Facebook account at www.facebook.com/kirklandwa.gov and Twitter @Kirklandgov for immediate updates. Report downed trees and flooding to Pubic Works by calling 425 587-3900. For emergencies dial 911.
