Kirkland Fire responds to house fire on Finn Hill

Kirkland, Wash.– At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017, multiple units from the Kirkland Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 9300 block of 143rd Street. The first arriving engine, E21, found fire visible from rear of the structure as well as an injured occupant visible on the second floor. Crews assisted this occupant, an adult female, out the front door. She was transported to Evergreen Hospital by KFD with non-life threatening injuries. Two injured animals were removed from the structure by KFD and treated by firefighters for smoke inhalation. Both animals are being taken to a local vet by KFD personnel. Kirkland was assisted by crews from Redmond, Bothell, Woodinville, and Northshore. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Kirkland Fire Investigators.
