The City of Kirkland provides most of its complex forms and documents in PDF (Portable Document Format). It is recommended to use a current version ofAdobe Acrobat Reader to access these files.
This is a FREE program that is available for desktop on both Windows and Apple systems and is available for download here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
If you run into problems with PDF files and your web browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE) it is recommended you download the file to your desktop by:
- Windows: Right Mouse click the link and selecting "Save target as"
- Mac: Control + Click the link and select "Save Link as"
Save the document to your machine and open with adobe acrobat reader.
Kirkland also offers selected forms on our site in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) fillable format. To gain the full functionality of Adobe Acrobat fillable forms it is recommended users open the form within a current version of Adobe Acrobat reader (version 11 or higher).
Some browsers (such as Safari, Firefox and Chrome) will open the PDF files in a browser based PDF viewer. These browser viewers are able to display the file; but can conflict with the fillable operation of these forms and documents. Therefore we recommend pushing it out to the adobe acrobat reader application by either saving the PDF to their machine or by setting their browser to use the Adobe Acrobat Reader application instead of the browser based viewer.
A detailed process on how to do this is available from the Adobe Acrobat support website:

Please Note: These fillable forms are not yet fully functional on mobile devices. We are currently working on making them available for mobile; but further development and testing is required.
